Why Akshay Kumar wants to get bashed up on screen?

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 22 May, 2014 02:31 PM
  • Why Akshay Kumar wants to get bashed up on screen?
Akshay Kumar’s fans are used to seeing him beating up the bad guys on the big screen, but the action star wants to switch places.

The actor, who has starred in the “Khiladi” series, has played a conman in “Special 26” and a blind bank robber in “Aankhen”.

He did a full-fledged negative role in 2001 film “Ajnabee”, which saw his co-star Bobby Deol throwing punches at him. And now the actor, who has studied martial arts, wants to do more such roles.

“I want to do more villain roles. The first two-and-a-half hour he (villain) gets to enjoy and last five minutes he gets beaten up. It doesn’t matter who beats me up as long as I can enjoy the first two-and-half-hours and the poor hero is slogging,” Akshay told IANS.

The audience will have to wait for him to play a baddy as he will be seen as an army officer in his next.
