Filmmaker Karan Johar, whose film "Student Of The Year" completed three years on Monday, says he is "proud" of actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan who made their debut with the film.
 
The romantic comedy revolves around two friends Abhi and Rohan essayed by Sidharth and Varun respectively, and how their friendship gets affected when Abhi falls in love with Shanaya, played by Alia.
 
"#3YearsOfSOTY...so proud of @S1dharthM @Varun_dvn @aliaa08," Karan tweeted on Monday. 
 
Alia and Varun too seemed nostalgic and took to the micro-blogging website to share avout their "journey" and "moments" from the film. 
 
"Could not have asked for a better way to begin our journey ;) thank you @S1dharthM and @Varun_dvn #3YearsOfSOTY," Alia wrote.
 
Varun tweeted: "Just realised it's been #3YearsOfSOTY. Will never forget those moments. Made a lot of friends. thank you @karanjohar for creating Rohan."
 
Karan is currently shooting for his upcoming movie "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
 
On the other hand, Varun will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer "Dilwale", which is slated to hit the theatres on December 18. Alia will be seen romancing Shahid Kapoor in "Shaandaar", which is slated to hit the screens on Friday.
