Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who has received the most coveted Padma Award on Monday, says he was getting "flashback" of his life while getting dressed for the ceremony.
 
Besides Anupam, the late Dhirubhai Ambani, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Ajay Devgn and Saina Nehwal were among the prominent personalities who were conferred the Padma awards by President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday morning.
 
"As I get ready for Padma Awards Ceremony I have a flashback of my life. Journey of a small town boy. Thank You India for the Love. Padma Bhushan," Anupam tweeted before leaving for the ceremony.
 
Anupam has been in the Hindi film fraternity for over two decades and has been part of films like "Saaransh", "A Wednesday", and "Silver Linings Playbook", which also starred Hollywood actors Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro. 
 
The 60-year-old actor has been honoured with Padma Bhushan.
