When Angry Ranbir Walked Away With Photo Journalist’s Mobile Phone

Darpan News Desk IANS, 09 May, 2016 12:15 PM
Ranbir Kapoor seems to be following his ex girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s footsteps especially when it comes to venting ire on photojournalists for doing their job.

On Saturday (May 7) night, freelance photographer Varinder Chawla’s team tried clicking the Tamasha actor’s photos while he was in his car in Bandra. An enraged Ranbir stopped his car, got out, walked straight to the lensman and demanded he hand over his mobile phone. Faced with no other option, the photographer complied and Ranbir walked off with the mobile phone.

The photographer then rang up his employer (freelance photographer Varinder Chawla) and informed him about the incident. His employer immediately called on the photographer’s cell which was in Ranbir’s possession. While the initial calls when unanswered, the phone was switched off soon after.

The employer then dialled Ranbir’s number, but to no avail. He then dropped a text on the actor’s number.  At around 1.30 am, Ranbir called back and spoke at length about how he hates being followed.

The employer (Varinder Chawla) tried explaining to Ranbir that the photojournalist was just doing his job and if not him someone else would definitely have clicked the photos. Ranbir, however, refused and remarked that if this continues he would consider filing a complaint with the police.
