What? Caitlyn Jenner Might De-Transition, Says Biographer

Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Jun, 2016 02:35 PM
Reality TV star and retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete Caitlyn Jenner, who announced her transition from man to woman last year, has considered de-transitioning, says the author of a new book about the Kardashian family.

Ian Halperin, the author of "Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America's Royal Family", said that while researching his book, multiple sources told him that the former Olympian had been miserable for months and has considered transitioning back to a man, reports thewrap.com.

"One source confirmed to me Caitlyn has made whispers of 'sex change regret', hinting she might go back to being Bruce Jenner," Halperin said.

Halperin also said that one long-time friend of Caitlyn told him that while the latter was "thrilled" to champion transgender issues, the reality TV personality could de-transition "in the next couple years".

Caitlyn has six children from marriages to ex-wives Chrystie Crownover, Linda Thompson and Kris Jenner.

Since 2007, Caitlyn has appeared on the reality television series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" with Kris, their daughters Kendall and Kylie, and step-children Kourtney, Kimberley, Khloé and Rob Kardashian.

Caitlyn revealed her identity as a transwoman in April 2015, publicly announcing her name change from Bruce to Caitlyn in July 2015. Her name and gender change became official on September 25 last year.
