  • Well known comedian Bharti Singh and her husband arrested by Mumbai police for a drugs probe in relation to Rajput death case

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput saga continues with another layer coning to the surface and this time comedian Bharti Singh is in the spotlight. Singh has been arrested after she was questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Mumbai. Ms Singh and her spouse, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, were taken to the NCB's Mumbai office for questioning after the anti-drug agency recovered a "small quantity of marijuana" during a search of their home on Saturday morning. They will be in police custody til December 4th.

Media had already arrived at the NCB's office and once Singh reached there she told reporters "They have called us for some questioning, that's all." According to a NCB official, Singh's name emerged during questioning of a drug peddler; a search of her home recovered a "small quantity of cannabis". The NCB also executed raids at two other locations in Mumbai.

Just a few months ago top Bollywood stars such as Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakulpreet Singh, and Shraddha Kapoor were all over the news and have all been questioned by the NCB in relation to further investigating a dark web that involves supply of drugs to celebrities. Drugs came to light in Sushant Rajput's death case after texts about the buying of banned drugs were allegedly found on his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty's phone.
