Well known actor Asif Basra who has worked in film and theatre has allegedly committed suicide. He was 53 years old. He worked in blockbusters such as Jab We Met, Krrish 3, Black Friday, Parzania, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. Recently seen on Amazon Prime hit series Paatal Lok and Disney+ Hotstar’s Hostages.

Media reports say that he passed away at private guest house in McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh. The news came as a shock to Bollywood celebrities. Manoj Bajpai expressed his grief over Twitter along with Hansal Mehta. 

Maanvi Gagroo also took to Twitter to share her words of sorrow. 

Kiku Sharda expressed his grief via social media media on the actor's demise highlighting the work history that they shared. 

Condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
