Watch: SRK Proves Why He Is The King Of Wit, Becomes Alia Bhatt As She Takes A GK Test

  • Watch: SRK Proves Why He Is The King Of Wit, Becomes Alia Bhatt As She Takes A GK Test
The show started off with why SRK didn’t appear on the last season and how it was blamed on an alleged rift with Karan. To this, Shah Rukh said, “I had to justify nationalism and you had to show me some love.

Why don’t we just release the picture of us kissing and even the one where we are married.” On a sober note, he and Karan added fights do happen irrespective of the relationship.

The next question was if Alia Bhatt was dating anyone but it was addressed to SRK. He said she is probably dating every young actor because he has heard about her link-ups every now and then. Alia said that she dated for the first time when she was 16 but at present she is keeping herself off any kind of relationships.

When the Dear Zindagi co-star was asked how many guys he thinks she has dated so far, SRK said, “I will be disappointed if there are two or four.” Coincidently, SRK’s daughter Suhana is also 16 and when Karan asked if SRK would be fine if she kisses somebody, the actor said he would rip off the boy’s lips.

Talking about Sidharth Malhotra and their reported steamy equation, Alia said, “I have not dated anyone. Nor Sid, Varun (Dhawan) or Arjun (Kapoor). Why should I be in a relationship? I am taking a break from it.” However, the answer did not please Shah Rukh. Moving on, the superstar spoke about how working with Alia Bhatt was even a bigger learning process for him as compared to working with Mahesh Bhatt.

On being asked if she was ever attracted to SRK, Alia said, “Of course! Even if I was dating it is okay to be attracted especially to SRK. I always loved him. It felt surreal to share the screen with him. While shooting the kabaddi-with-the-sea scene, Gauri told me to forget that he is SRK”

While Shah Rukh is extremely overwhelmed and impressed with Alia, he stated that she is too good “too soon” and instead of getting into just being a great actor, she should experience everything that the industry has to offer. He said he loves Alia’s relentless attitude and the way she is emotional about her work but she should also get detached. In fact, he had a term for it too, demotional (Detached + Emotional).

Karan introduced a new slot inspired by Ellen De Genre’s show in which Shah Rukh was asked to read out a nursery poem like Arnab Goswami and what happened next was hilarious. The actor did not only speak like the news anchor but also added that he won’t let anyone else speak.

Next up was the most-awaited part of the entire show – rapid fire round. Shah Rukh won the hamper for the fifth time and dedicated it to daughter Suhana Khan.

Alia Bhatt, on being asked who she would like to stalk from the industry, said she would like to know where Kangana Ranaut heads to every other day as she sees her dressed up so well in airport spottings. On the other hand, SRK’s answer to what he would ask Ranveer Singh left the audience in splits. He said, “I would like to know where he got the padded underwear which he is wearing in Befikre.” Karan asked if Ranveer is wearing padded underpants to which SRK said if he’s not, he is Ranveer’s fan.

And of course, Alia’s faux pas during her last appearance on the show – when she named Prithviraj Chauhan as the President of India – came into play. When asked what will SRK do if he woke up as Alia, the actor’s response was: I would read a newspaper.

During the show, Shah Rukh also said his biggest mistake ever was to reject 3 Idiots directed by Rajkumar Hirani and how his biography, if ever planned, will be named Kal Ho Na Ho. The actor was also asked what would be Salman Khan’s biography called, to which Shah Rukh said, “Kal Ho Na Ho phir bhi meri to chalti rahegi.”

But I was Alia who made history when she gave the right answers for a quiz called ‘who knows who’. Alia thanked Karan for giving her a chance to undo the damage her last appearance had done (cue, all the Alia jokes). And trolls, Alia did get all 13 questions right.
