  • WATCH: Saif's 'CHEF' Trailer Full Of Food, Fun, Family

Actor-producer Saif Ali Khan is set to whip up an entertaining film, "Chef", soon. Its trailer, which was unveiled on Thursday, is a truck full of food, fun and family ties.

The almost three-minute trailer gives a peek into the north and south Indian cultures while taking the audience on a journey of a successful chef and his son, who stays with his mother and craves for his father's attention and time.

Just like in Jon Favreau's Hollywood movie "Chef", on which the Bollywood version is based, the parents are separated.

The north Indian father, played by Saif, manages to take a break and spend some time with his son. Then begins their fun times at a vegetable market, eating joints in different places, a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and more.

The son seems to be less aware of north Indian culture and food habits which is clear from the scene in which the father-son duo are eating a rice meal on a banana leaf and then the father mentions chole bhature, after which the son asks 'What is chole bhature'?

Soon, the chef realises that he needs to contribute more than just money to his son. So apart from loving his profession, he decides to be in love with life and son.

Then he fixes an old bus to make it more like a restaurant on wheels. Does this move help to strengthen the bond between the two? The audience can find out when it will be served hot on October 6.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar in association with Abundantia, A Bandra West Pictures Production, "Chef" is directed By Raja Krishna Menon.

"Chef" also stars Svar Kamble, Padmapriya and Chandan Roy Sanyal.
