The adventure romance film will launch actress Pooja Hegde in Bollywood. She competed in the Miss India contest in 2009.

Picture of the lead actor shooting for the movie had done the rounds of social networking sites earlier. Hrithik had said this will turn out to be the best film of his career.

He had earlier said, “For ‘Mohenjo Daro’, I am travelling back in time. It has been a great journey, great experience. I really believe it is going to be one of my best films. I hope and pray that the audience also agrees with it when the film releases.”

Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, the film is set in Mohenjo Daro, the most prominent city of the Indus Valley civilisation. It took three years for the director to develop the movie.

Talking about his preparation for the film, Asutosh had earlier said, “I always do the research myself. I read all the books on the subject that I am going to adapt and understand the era myself. It can take a long time but it prepares you well.”
