WATCH: Gippy Grewal, Farhan 'Gelled Up Well' On 'Lucknow Central' Sets

IANS, 15 Jun, 2017 01:51 PM

The very famous Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal is all set to try his hands on Bollywood again, with Nikhil Advani's upcoming movie 'Lucknow Central,' also starring Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty.

Earlier, the singer turned actor made his debut in the Bollywood industry with 2015- flick 'Second Hand Husband.'

In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Gippy shared his experience of working with the 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' actor and revealed that they gelled very well on the sets.

"It was a wonderful experience to work with Farhan Akhtar. Farhan and I have never met each other before. We did not know each other much. However, I know many other Bollywood celebs.

We met each other at the time of the narration and we both have lot of scenes together in the movie. Farhan and I gelled extremely well on the sets as share several similarities- we both are singers, actors, directors and writers," he said yesterday at the launch of his next peppy track titled 'Car Nachdi,' which he collaborated with American-Pakistani rapper Bohemia.

Talking about the film, the 34-year-old singer turned actor said, "Recently I went to Mumbai and saw the film's teaser and posters. Teaser is looking very interesting and strong. "

He added, "I feel 'Lucknow Central' is a very powerful and kind of an 'out of the league' film. It's not a routine kind of film, like a normal love story. The movie is inspired from true stories. I feel people will really enjoy the movie."

Gippy's first Bollywood venture 'Second Hand Husband' could not do well at the Box Office.

' Lucknow Central, 'directed by Ranjit Tiwari, is set in the backdrop of a jail and will see the 'Oscar'-hit maker in a pivotal role.

The movie is slated to hit the theatres in September. Needless to say, his fans are excited about his next Bollywood outing with Farhan.
