Was Offered To Sing In 'Wake Up Sid': Sikandar Kher

Darpan News Desk IANS, 13 Jul, 2016 12:12 PM
Actor Sikandar Kher says he was asked to sing a song in the 2009 Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Wake Up Sid", but it finally didn't happen. The "Players" actor, however, still hopes to sing for a film one day.

"I like singing. I am interested in it and enjoy it. I sing a lot in the bathroom. But I think I am okay at it (singing). I am not too bad," the actor told IANS.

Would he like to sing for a movie someday?

"Who knows? Maybe. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy (composers) had heard me sing once. I was called to sing for 'Wake Up Sid'. That didn't happen, but that's okay. I'll do it some day.

"I will definitely sing one day," said the 34-year-old, who is looking forward to the audience's response to his negative character Haroon Sherchan in “24: Season 2”.

Talking about the role in the Colors channel show, he said: "There was nothing disturbing as such about playing the role. Haroon is an interesting character. There's an innocence to him even though he is a villain. He is bad to the rest of the world, but he is justified in his head."
