Virender Sehwag’s Birthday Wish To His Wife Aarti Set Off Jokes On Demonetisation

Darpan News Desk IANS, 16 Dec, 2016 12:19 PM
  • Virender Sehwag’s Birthday Wish To His Wife Aarti Set Off Jokes On Demonetisation
December 16, is his wife Aarti Sehwag’s birthday and the much-awaited birthday tweet has come leaving people in splits. He managed to bring the movie ‘December 16’, a thriller titled on the historical date when Pakistan signed the document of Independence for Bangladesh in 1971. He also brought an angle of demonetisation in his message!

“Happy Birthday Biwi ji @AartiSehwag . #16December ,already a movie on your date of birth. Sachha pyaar aur 100 ka note Mushkil Se milta hai,” he wrote.

As soon as people read “100 ka note Mushkil Se milta hai”, they couldn’t help but share their woes of laying their hands on one after Prime Minister Narendra Modi annouced demonetisation of old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes leading to cash crunch. “paji Sacha pyar orr 500ka note boliye abhi tkk hath mein nahi aya (sic)” wrote a user.

However, while Sehwag is at his sarcastic best with birthday wishes, his wife has given his tough competition in the past when it comes to wit and humour. Remember when she had given a hilarious reply to him that won the Internet?

“Congrats @ashwinravi99 for an incredible 7th Man of the series. Only a married man can understand d urgency of going home early. #FamilyTime” tweeted Sehwag, to which Ashwin responded with a “lol”.

Ashwin’s wife Pritha said she “didn’t do much” but the masterstroke came from Sehwag’s wife Aarti who tweeted, “Neither did I. Both in a hurry as always @ashwinravi99 @virendersehwag”.
