  • Vir Das feels a bad sequel can mess-up original
Sequels demand big responsibility, feels actor Vir Das and warns that if it goes awry it can reflect badly on the original too.

There were reports that Vir may star in a sequel to 2012 successful hit adult-comedy "Delhi Belly", in which he had teamed up with Imran Khan and Kunaal Roy Kapoor.

Directed by Abhinay Deo, the film was produced by Aamir Khan.

When asked about a sequel, he said: "If your sequel is bad, you mess up with the original as well. I don't know 'Delhi Belly' can get any better. Yes, talks are on whenever I meet Aamir, we talk about it."

"I recently met Saif Ali Khan and he also plans for a sequel of 'Go Goa Gone', but a lot of things comes into consideration when you plan for a sequel," the actor told IANS.

Produced by Illuminati Films, co-owned by Saif, "Go Goa Gone", a zombie comedy, was an experimental film as the genre is yet to gain popularity in the country. Vir had teamed up with Saif and Kunal Khemu in the Krishna D.K.-Raj Nidimoru directed 2013 movie.

Meanwhile, Vir is looking forward to hosting the 15th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Tampa Bay, Florida with Saif.

"I remember, I used to write scripts for other hosts, but now I am hosting it myself and now jokes are written for me. It's a strange feeling and I am very excited to host IIFA with Saif," said the actor whose next release is "Revolver Rani".
