Vidhu Vinod Chopra lauds Priyanka's 'Ventilator'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 04 Nov, 2016 11:21 AM
Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has lauded actress Priyanka Chopra's maiden Marathi production "Ventilator".

"I've already seen the film. Today, I called many of my friends to watch, as I am so impressed with the film. I think everybody should see the movie. I am supporting a good film. If 'Ventilator' had not been a good movie, I would have never come here, even if Rajesh Mapuskar has directed it," Vidhu Vinod said here.

The Marathi film, produced by Priyanka and her mother Madhu Chopra under their production banner Purple Pebble Pictures, has as many as 116 actors. "Ventilator" is written and helmed by "Ferrari ki Sawaari" fame director Rajesh Mapuskar.

Along with the film, Vidhu Vinod also praised the track titled "Baba". Priyanka has recorded the promotional track in Marathi and dedicated the song to her late father Ashok Chopra.

Vidhu Vinod said: "The song is in the Marathi language, and it is so emotional that it could be felt. Cinema has no language."

Asked about the recent controversy regarding "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" over insulting late legendary singer Mohammed Rafi in the film, Vidhu Vinod said: "I don't watch Hindi Films these days. The film which you have mentioned, I haven't seen it, neither I have any interest to see."
