Actor Vicky Kaushal has started filming here for Meghna Gulzar's "Raazi" directorial which will also feature Alia Bhatt.
 
Vicky, who will essay the role of an army officer, joined the team after wrapping up his work in the Sanjay Dutt biopic, on Friday, a statement said.
 
Based on the book "Calling Sehmat", "Raazi" is a real life adaptation of a Kashmiri girl, who is married to an army officer and is set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Alia and Vicky have been doing their prep for the role and also done a few workshops together to get the right dialect and character. 
 
"I'm extremely excited for this journey. It's a great team coming together on an amazing story. Fingers crossed," Vicky said.
 
produced by Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures, "Raazi" will also be shot in Punjab, and Kashmir.
