Varun, Kriti Not Scared Of Being Overshadowed By SRK, Kajol

Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Nov, 2015 12:34 PM
Actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon say that they are not scared of being overshadowed by the most romantic couple of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol , in Rohit Shetty directorial “Dilwale”.

“I'm playing his younger brother in the film. And when you play someone's brother, then these things like insecurity, jealousy and all can't come to your mind. I have an older brother in my real life as well. I try to get into the skin of my character, so I don't feel any of this,” Varun told reporters when asked if his pairing with Kriti in “Dilwale” would be overshadowed by Shah Rukh and Kajol.

"I do love both of them a lot, so this film is not just one commercial film coming but an emotional film. So everything that we do all together, we all stand by each other. And I just hope that like a younger brother I can support him till the end in this film,” he added.

Shah Rukh and Kajol are considered to be one of the best onscreen couples in the history of Indian cinema and the trailer of “Dilwale” also shows the love and conflict between the two while the Varun-Kriti play the second lead pair.

"In this film, Rohit sir has made sure that everyone has a separate track and everyone is in their own space and they stand out. But there are two love stories that are going on, and no one can compare us to Shah Rukh -Kajol,” said Kriti.

“We didn't even imagine in our dreams that we'll reach that level. I hope that we were able to create half the magic they both do, and we'll be happy with that,” she added.

Shah Rukh and Kajol were earlier seen spreading their magic in films like “Baazigar”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” and “My Name Is Khan”.

“Dilwale” is releasing on December 18 and will be clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's “Bajirao Mastani”.
