Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said the Bombay High Court's ruling in the 'Udta Punjab' case was a "tight slap" on the Modi government's intolerance.
"Udta punjab judgment is a tight slap on Modi regime's intolerance," Kejriwal tweeted.
The Bombay High Court on Monday overruled the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recommended 13 cuts for upcoming Bollywood film 'Udta Punjab' and cleared the film for release with only one cut and three disclaimers.
The film's co-producer Anurag Kashyap welcomed the court ruling and said "our stand has been vindicated on the issue".
A division bench comprising Justice S.C. Dharmadhikari and Justice Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi directed the CBFC to issue an 'A' Certificate to the film scheduled for release on Friday.
