Queen of controversy Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account been ‘permanently suspended for constantly breaking Twitter rules. The social media platform Twitter made the move after incendiary tweets regarding the West Bengal election results sounded alarm bells towards violence. Their has been strong reaction to her tweets and many have demanded that stern action be taken against her.
A Twitter spokesperson said Kangana’s account has been suspended for repeated violations, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy.”
The actor didn't stay silent on the ban and took aim on Twitter. She attacked Twitter for allegedly being racially biased. “Twitter has only proved my point they’re Americans and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do. I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice, including my own art in the form of cinema,”via a statement released to local media.
Actress Swara Bhaskar who worked with Ranaut in Tanu weds Manu reacted to the news with a sigh of relief and designer Anand Bhushan has made the decision not to work with her. Actress Kubbra Sait also reacted to the news and comedian Anuvab Pal also shared his two cents on Ranaut's Twitter suspension.
