Sabbir Khan directorial “Baaghi” raked in Rs.11.87 crore on its opening day in India.
Trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted: "#Baaghi Day 1: 11.87 crore, highest opening on a non-holiday for 2016 and second highest opening of year! Opening in mass centres is unprecedented."
"Baaghi" is also doing well overseas. It minted close to $232,000 at the Gulf box office across 66 screens on Thursday, read a statement.
The Sajid Nadiadwala production brings forward a story of two rebels and how they turn out to be emotional anchors for each other.
The film features actors Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Telugu star Sudheer Babu.

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who crooned the song “Sab tera” for her film “Baaghi”, says that she is grateful that all her “songs in the past have become hits”.
“Sab tera”, sung by Shraddha and Armaan Malik, has crossed 10 million views on social media.
"'Sab tera' has become this year's most loved song. I can't express in my words the gratitude. I'm grateful that all my songs in the past have become huge hits. But one can never have enough,” the “ABCD 2” actress said in a statement.
Shraddha has previously sung “Galliyan (Unplugged)”, “Do jahan” and “Bezubaan phir se”.
Shraddha will also be lending her voice to the songs of her next musical film “Rock On!! 2”, scheduled to release on November 11.
