Bollywood turned Hollywood diva, Priyanka Chopra and actor-singer, Farhan Akhtar are set to the hit the theatres with their upcoming biographical drama, ‘The Sky is Pink’.

 

The movie is scheduled to release on October 11, 2019.

 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the release date and tweeted: “Release date finalised... #TheSkyIsPink to release on 11 Oct 2019... Stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim... Directed by Shonali Bose... Produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films”.

 
 
 
 

Farhan will begin the last schedule of the film on March 1, which involves an eight-day shoot in Mumbai.

 

Director Sonali Bose aims to wrap up the film by March.

 

Priyanka is making a comeback to the Bollywood cinema after three years.

 

The movie also features Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles.

 

The ‘Sky Is Pink’ is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Zaira will be playing the role of Aisha in the film.

 

In the last few months of her life, she also penned a memoir, ‘My Little Epiphanies’.

 

The biographical drama is co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala and Chopra under the banner of RSVP Movies, Roy Kapur Films and Purple Pebble Pictures.
