The Rishi Rich Project Creates New Single

  • The Rishi Rich Project Creates New Single
Over a decade after their smash hit "Dance with you (Nachna tere naal)" wooed music aficionados, RnB artist Jay Sean, Punjabi pop singer Juggy D and music producer Rishi Rich have teamed up once again to create a new single titled "Freak".

Reuniting as The Rishi Rich Project, the trio recorded the new single in their hometown of London, "Freak" features classic RnB tones which made their music a rage among their fans.

Jay, who is known for delivering hits like "Do you remember", "Ride it" and "Eyes on you", says recording the new single was "one of the most fun experiences I've had".

"In all my time writing and recording, getting back in the studio with my best friends, my brothers, to do something special for our fans after over a decade, so much laughter and fun in the process. I hope our fans enjoy this as much as we enjoyed making it," he said in a statement.

Rishi reminisced about the early days when the trio got together to make music.

"When we originally got together we were just three friends from West London wanting to make music, we didn't realise the impact it would have. The Rishi Rich Project really shaped all three of us in perfecting our craft. The chemistry we have when we get together in the studio is pure magic and we have a lot of fun," he said.

"We are like brothers, always have been and always will be. Working on 'Freak' was amazing. It's hard to find artists who are really tuned into each other's skills and bring the best out of each other," he added.

"The fans really supported 'Dance with you' and I think they'll love this new vibe. Loved working with my brothers again...We are just about to turn up the 'freak-uency," added Juggy D.

Devraj Sanyal, managing director and CEO, Universal Music Group South Asia, said:
"The impact that these boys have had on the music scene ever since they dropped 'Dance with you' has been simply phenomenal."

"Freak" releases on Friday across digital platforms exclusively on Universal Music India.
