The Kapil Sharma Show's Back In Top 5: Should Sunil Grover Be Worried?

Darpan News Desk IANS, 08 Jun, 2017 06:25 PM
  • The Kapil Sharma Show's Back In Top 5: Should Sunil Grover Be Worried?
Kapil Sharma might be feeling happy today. There seems to be a silver lining at the end of the dark tunnel he's been through in the last few months.

His ugly spat with his co-actors Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar led to them boycotting being a part of The Kapil Sharma Show. This happened three months back. Ever since then, the once reckoned show dipped in the TRP game.

Kapil's show has been consistently in the top 5 but post their exit, it couldn't keep the same momentum. But now, after months, it has finally regained its lost spot and is back in the reckoning. This week's BARC ratings show that Kapil has finally managed to come back to no 5 in Week 22 (May 26-June 1).

The episode had cricketers Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan on the show in one of the episodes whereas on the other, Mahesh Manjrekar and wife Medha Manjrekar came to promote their Marathi film Friendship Unlimited aka FU.

While there have been several rumours about Sony wanting to pull a plug on Kapil's show and introduce a new show altogether with rival Sunil Grover aka Dr Mashur Gulati, will the new statistics change that dynamic? Should Sunil be worried? Your guess is as good as ours!
