The first poster of the film, which looks edgy, was released on Friday night.

Irrfan looks very intense in the poster that also focusses on the blindfolded Lady Justice holding a sword in one hand and scales of justice in the other.

The poster read: "India’s most controversial case reopens on 2nd October”.

Director Meghna Gulzar took to micro-blogging website Twitter, where she shared the poster and wrote: "#TalvarTheMovie @irrfan_k @konkonas @JungleePictures".

Even Manish Gupta’s directorial "Rahasya", which featured actors Kay Kay Menon and Tisca Chopra that released earlier this year, was also inspired by the Aarushi murder mystery case.

The story of "Talvar" revolves around the sensational murder of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and 45-year-old domestic helper Hemraj, that took place in the year 2008 in Noida.
