Taj Express- The Bollywood Musical Revue, announces US TOUR for 2017

    Taj Express, an  Internationally acclaimed musical based out of Mumbai, India will be coming to the United States in early 2017. Over 50 cities across US will be showcasing this theatrical spectacular that is wrapped into 120 minutes of swirling colors, sparkle, shimmer and electrifying energy.
     
    Taj Express explodes with the sounds of India and Bollywood, capturing the vibrant, expressive spirit of the world of Bollywood movies that have been entertaining billions of people in India for generations. Through a fusion of film, dance, and music, this dazzling international sensation promises to take audiences on a live cinematic journey through modern Indian culture and society. The production is a high energy celebration of new India’s pop music, Bollywood culture, and deep traditions featuring colorful costumes, joyful dance, and thrilling live music.
     
    Taj Express is produced by one of India’s leading entertainment families, the Merchants. The show is Produced and Directed by Shruti Merchant who is amongst the top choreographers in the Bollywood industry. Shruti has been seen as a judge on India's dance reality show "Dance India Dance." Alongside Shruti, is Director of Choreography, Vaibhavi Merchant. Vaibhavi has worked in over 75 Bollywood films and is known for her smash hits such as Dhol Baaje, Jhoom Barabar, Kajra Re & Kamli. Her recent work includes songs for Sultan, Fan and Befikre. She has received numerous awards for her choreography, including the prestigious National Award for Choreography, IIFA, and the American Choreography Award.
     
    “Taj Express completes 5 years of International touring and the North American tour marks the second leg of finishing a decade. Vaibhavi, myself & the entire team are really looking forward to our performances across the US. We are delighted to be associated with CAMI and could not have asked for a better platform to present the show. The Company has been preparing for this tour for the past two years and the cast and crew are gearing up with fresh choreographies, latest music and a lot of surprising elements for the US run.
     
    Taj Express is presented in the US by Columbia Artist Management LLC (CAMI). CAMI is known to bring World Music and Dance to center stage with collaborations such as Dublin Irish Dance, Shanghai Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China, The Havana Cuba All-Stars and many others.
     
    “Our CAMI team attended a performance of Taj Express in France a few years ago and were instantly convinced that we needed to share this beautiful show with American audiences. The energy on stage is very exciting and irresistible, every cast member is a star and the music, costumes and production elements are amazing.  The audience was dancing from the opening to the encore. Immediately after the show, we invited Taj Express to make their US debut and luckily they agreed.
