Actors Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar, who feature in the upcoming film "Naam Shabana", on Monday released a special video for girls and women, teaching them how to use their elbow to deter molesters.
The video features Taapsee giving out a message urging women to fight for their protection.
"I fail to understand how weak are we that we can't protect ourselves. When someone touches us, our mind doesn't work. When a man comes and touches our breast or back, we freeze, and they take advantage of that moment and do whatever they want.
"To answer this, we should know what to do. Throw a stone and run, kick, use your hands... Your body parts are your weapons. Use your 'kohni' (elbow), trust me it hurts a lot," she says in the video.
Then, Taapsee calls over Akshay -- who she says has trained her to perfect the act -- to demonstrate it.
Kudo is a modern form of martial arts and together, Akshay and Taapsee teach the viewers the self-defence technique which the actress calls 'Kohni maar' or hitting with the elbow.
Taapsee plays the main role in "Naam Shabana", a spin-off based on her character in the film "Baby". She is essaying the role of an undercover agent and has undergone rigorous training sessions to learn martial arts in order to perform action-packed sequences.
The film, directed by Shivam Nair, will release on March 31.
