Sunny Leone to shed glam avatar for Telugu debut

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 20 May, 2014 01:07 PM
  • Sunny Leone to shed glam avatar for Telugu debut
Actress Sunny Leone, set to make her foray into Telugu filmdom with upcoming entertainer "Current Theega", will shed her oomph factor and be seen in a traditional avatar, says the film's director G. Nageshwara Reddy.

"We didn't cast Sunny to cash in on her popularity. Although she plays a cameo, she will be seen in a traditional avatar in her role. We are not going make her dance to some sleazy item number. Audience will get to see different Sunny in this film," Nageshwara Reddy told IANS.

"She will be seen in a very important character crucial from the story's perspective. I can't reveal more details about her role," he added.

Sunny, an Indo-Canadian porn star who made inroads into the Indian showbiz via the small screen, will be paired up with Manchu Manoj in the film, which is being produced by Manchu Vishnu.

The film, which has already gone on floors, also features Rakul Preet Singh and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.
