Darpan News Desk IANS, 12 Jan, 2016 12:41 PM
  • Sunny Deol Wanted To Be A Sportsman
Actor-filmmaker Sunny Deol, currently awaiting the release of his forthcoming film "Ghayal Once Again", says he wanted to be a sportsman at one time.

“I never knew I was going to become an actor. Since I was more into sports, I wanted to be a sportsman,” Sunny, who has been in the film industry for over three decades, said on the TV show "Yaar Mera Superstar".

The 58-year-old says sports gives him an adrenaline rush and that "it feels like I’m going to go out and conquer anything. It makes you get rid of all the negativity in your mind and think positive.”

The episode featuring Sunny will be aired on Tuesday night on Zoom.

ACTORS CAN'T RUN AWAY FROM GETTING TAGGED

Sunny Deol, known as an action hero in Bollywood, says getting tagged in the film industry is common and that actors can't run away from it.

"Everybody gets a tag in this industry. That's how it is. An actor can't run away from getting tagged. It is a battle for each and every actor. People did start calling me an action hero. But having said that, as an actor we can only try and do various roles," Sunny told reporters in a group interview.

He will next be seen on the big screen in the action-drama film "Ghayal Once Again" along with Soha Ali Khan.

Talking about his fitness mantra, he said: "I have never attended any parties. I used to attend earlier... I don't enjoy partying so, I stopped going."
