After a whirlwind season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and victory in the final for his franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), superstar Shah Rukh Khan is looking for some peace and solitude. He has turned to books on Gautam Buddha's life to "calm down".
 
"Got a set of books on the life of Gautam Buddha. Excited to start reading them so that I can calm down a bit," Shah Rukh posted on Twitter Wednesday.
 
The 47-year-old got submerged in the excitement and euphoria of the seventh IPL season after shooting for Farah Khan's directorial "Happy New Year". He attended most matches that his team played in and cheered it on. 
 
At a lavish ceremony in Kolkata, KKR team co-owners Shah Rukh and Juhi Chawla received a regal reception amid thunderous applause from a packed Eden Gardens Tuesday. The "Chennai Express" star's happiness knew no bounds.
 
"Overwhelmed at how much love I receive. Makes me want to give my all in the service of making people smile. Hope I have enough to give for long," he posted on Twitter following the ceremony.
