Karan Johar has lauded superstar and good friend Shah Rukh Khan for his film "Fan", saying he has "created a character that will be remembered for years".
 
"Shah Rukh Khan creates a character that will be remembered for years ahead....Gaurav in 'Fan' is a result of the performance extraordinaire of SRK!" Karan tweeted.
 
Karan, who has worked with Shah Rukh in popular films such as "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", " Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..." and "My Name Is Khan," also "saluted and applauded" the Maneesh Sharma directorial.
 
"Adrenalin pumping....cinematically brilliant and a huge achievement...SRK is absolutely genius and beyond! Salute and applaud 'Fan'," he added.
 
The film, which has the 50-year-old actor playing a double role, released on Friday.
