Shekhar Kapur grateful to Aadesh Shrivastava for teaching daughter music

    On the successful debut of of his daughter and writer-composer Kaveri as a singer, renowned filmmaker Shekhar remembered late musician Aadesh Shrivastava and thanked him for teaching her music.
     
    Kapur and singer-actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi's daughter Kaveri released a new single "Did you know", and she was praised by Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan. 
     
    Overwhelmed by the positive response, Kapur tweeted: “I am moved to tears by all the love showered on my little daughter Kaveri. Thank you all for all your blessings.”
     
    He then went on to remember Shrivastava, who passed away last year after a long battle with cancer. 
     
     
    “Dear Aadesh Shrivastava, wherever you are I want to thank you for nurturing and blessing Kaveri to bring her to this amazing moment in her life," Kapur posted.
     
    Suchitra also shared: “Remembering Aadesh today and love and nurture he lavished on Kaveri on her musical beginnings. This would not have happened without you Aadesh.”
     
    Meanwhile, Priyanka, who is a singer herself, expressed surprise that a 15-year-old could was behind the song.
     
     
    She posted: “Cannot believe she has written, composed and sung this. Presenting Kaveri to the world... This video brought me to tears. I cannot believe she's grown up to be such a talent! So proud."
