Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known as the king of romance in Bollywood, but it is his children who teach him the meaning of "true love".

The cine icon says his children make him realise that true love is not to possess, but to give them "freedom to exist".

The 49-year-old "Chennai Express" star, who married Gauri in 1991, has three kids - Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.

"My kids make me realise, to love someone completely is to not possess them. Giving them freedom to exist and be happy even without you, is true Love," Shah Rukh tweeted.

The star, who has earned epithets like "Badshah" of Bollywood, keeps his fans and followers on the virtual platform hooked on to his personal life as he shares photographs with his family on a regular basis.

Shah Rukh also gives a dose of his professional life on the micro-blogging site by sharing updates about his work assignments.

On the professional front, the actor is busy with the shooting of Rohit Shetty's upcoming film "Dilwale", which also stars Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
