Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai during his week-long visit to India. Trudeau wore an intricate golden sherwani while SRK stuck to his usual black.

 

They were accompanied by Trudeau’s wife Sophie and kids, Xavier and Ella. Justin Trudeau also met top business leaders and Bollywood stars in Mumbai. News agency AFP shared the pictures of SRK with the Trudeaus, where they are seen in Indian attires.

 
 
 
 

The Canadian PM wore a sherwani while Mrs Trudeau draped a beautiful off-white sari. (His younger son Hadrien is missing from the pictures). Justin Trudeau is meeting representatives of Indian Film industry today. They started their India visit with a trip to the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra.

 

"For me to be able to be here on an official trip while bringing my kids with me to share this is really special and being able to enjoy this as a dad with my kids is really nice," he said after the visit. He is on his first state visit to India.

The celebrated politician has already visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

 
 
 

Speaking about his visit, Trudeau had earlier told a leading daily, “One of the things that I really wanted to show to my kids is the extraordinary diversity of India, being able to go to a mandir, to Golden Temple, to a mosque and then to other places, this highlights the diversity and pluralism of India which isn't without its challenges.”

 

Justin Trudeau is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 23.

 

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in 2017’s Jab Harry Met Sejal. His upcoming film is Zero co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
