SS Rajamouli, who attained global acclaim with 'Baahubali', has time and again admitted that it's his biggest dream to make a film on Indian epic 'Mahabharata'.

It was even reported that he is planning to cast three huge superstars from three Indian film industries for the magnum opus. He had confirmed discussing the film with Aamir Khan. The actor had even publically expressed his desire to play Krishna's role.

"I want to do Mahabharata and I have said that many times but definitely not immediately after Baahubali. Mahabharata is such an epic that I need to up my craftsmanship to handle such a subject. I met Aamir ji once quite sometime back, We spoke about Mahabharata. I know that he’s very much interested in doing the film.

But as I said, at present I am not thinking anything beyond Baahubali. Mahabharata is definitely not after this," he had said in a 2017 interview. While he clarified several times after that, that he is not making 'Mahabharata' anytime soon, the idea of seeing so many actors together on screen itself has got people excited.

One sketch-artist has actually gone one step ahead and has put actors' faces to iconic Ramayana and Mahabharata characters. While he has portrayed Deepika Padukone as Draupadi, Salman Khan as Hanuman; he has re-imagined Radhika Apte as Sita and Ranbir Kapoor as Lakshman. His picturisation and casting is so perfect that it might actually give SS Rajamouli some inspiration.
