  • Sargun Mehta To Make Cameo In 'Naya Akbar Birbal'
Sargun Mehta will be giving mysterious twist to “Naya Akbar Birbal” with her cameo appearance. The actress thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the historical comedy TV show, and says it was a “dream sequence” for her.

“Personally, it has been a one-of-a-kind experience for me working on a historical comedy. For the first time, audiences will see me in a costume drama, and I am really excited to see how they react to it. It was a dream sequence for me, since I grew up listening to and reading tales of Akbar-Birbal,” Sargun said in a statement.

Sargun will appear in the BIG Magic show as Yaksh, the spirit who spins the Mughal kingdom upside down by turning Akbar into a lifeless painting. Her character will weave a web of riddles, challenging Birbal's intelligence in the process.

“In the episode, I play the role of a fantasy character who challenges Birbal's intelligence. It was a great experience working with such an amazing cast, and I hope the audience enjoys the episode," she added.

The show, which presents the chemistry between Akbar and Birbal in a light vein, stars Kiku Sharda, Vishal Kotian, and Delnaaz Irani. Sargun has shot for the episode on Friday. It will be aired on March 3 and March 4.
