Saif Ali Khan may be in the best phase in his personal life, but professionally it looks like he will face some set back for a month.
According to the buzz in the tinsel town, the daddy-to-be’s next, Raja Menon directed Chef, has been postponed by a month due to his recent thumb injury, which he suffered while shooting for Akshat Varma’s film, reports the DNA.
Saif Ali Khan was hospitalised after suffering a thumb injury on the sets of his upcoming production and was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. He underwent a minor surgery.
“He was taken to the hospital yesterday as he had hurt his thumb. A minor surgery was performed and he is doing fine. He will be discharged tomorrow or day after tomorrow,” sources said.
Saif’s sister Soha also said that the Phantom actor is doing fine. “He is recovering well, thank you for asking – had hurt his thumb quite badly but is on the mend happily,” Soha reported.
As husband underwent a minor surgery, wife-actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen at the hospital to pay a visit. His injury has led to a series of delays and therefore, it will take time before Chef can get a headstart.
Although the actor has started working on Akshat’s film post the injury, it is only after he finishes this project that he will be able to go ahead with the remake of the Hollywoood hit flick.
Amidst this, the 45-year-old actor will reportedly go off for a babymoon with his Begum Kareena Kapoor Khan, before her delivery in December.
