Rowan Atkinson Granted Divorce From Wife Of 24 Years

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 Nov, 2015 12:55 PM
Comedian Rowan Atkinson and his wife of 24 years have been granted a 'quickie divorce' on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour".

The "Mr. Bean" star has been estranged from ex-BBC make-up artist Sunetra, 54, since the couple split in 2014.

Atkinson and his wife were granted a decree nisi by a District Judge at the Central Family Court in a short hearing lasting less than a minute.

Neither he nor Sunetra, who lodged the petition, were present in court for the announcement, reports dailymail.co.uk.

A source earlier told The Sun: "Sunetra was deeply upset to be replaced by such a younger woman."

Atkinson, 60, has been dating 32-year-old Louise Ford for 18 months. She has appeared in Channel 4's Misfits and starred alongside "Inbetweeners" actors Simon Bird and Joe Thomas in Sky’s "Chickens".
