'Romantic Hero' Aditya Roy Kapur Would Love To Do Other Genres

Darpan News Desk IANS, 05 Jan, 2016 11:17 AM
  • 'Romantic Hero' Aditya Roy Kapur Would Love To Do Other Genres
Actor Aditya Roy Kapur, who will once again be seen in a romantic avatar in his next film "Fitoor", is eager to try other genres other than love stories.

Asked about his 'romantic hero' tag, he replied: "I have done three romantic films, so I think I can call myself that for now. This hasn't been my plan. They've all been different from each other -- in the same genre, but different type of films.

"But I would love to do different projects but people have to come to me with that. I rarely get excited by too many scripts."

Aditya was interacting with the media at the trailer launch of "Fitoor", which will be his third lead role as a romantic hero after "Aashiqui 2" with Shraddha Kapoor and "Daawat-E-Ishq" opposite Parineeti Chopra.

Aditya had earlier started out with small roles in films such as "London Dreams", "Guzaarish" and "Action Replayy". He will again be seen in a romantic role opposite Shraddha in Karan Johar's remake of Mani Ratnam's "O Kandhal Kanmani".

Aditya plays an artist in "Fitoor" and is seen showing off his toned physique while creating his art and also in lovemaking scenes with co-star Katrina Kaif.

About efforts taken to build this physique, he said: "I got a trainer to help me for a while and it was important for this role to do it. So it required some commitment for a while. I did eat very little food and worked out twice a day for some time. It doesn't come easy."

"Fitoor" is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and co-produced by Aditya's brother Siddharth Roy Kapur.
