From romantic thrillers and epic sequels to laugh-out-loud comedies and spine-chilling dramas, the upcoming months in Bollywood promises a lot of excitement. The entertainment quotient begins with the much-aniticipated Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu. Next in line is the long-awaited sequel Indian 2. Following which Vicky Kaushal arrives with Bad Newz and finally Shraddha Kapoor calls the shots with Stree 2. So, mark your calendars for these exciting films with stellar cast and engaging storylines.   

AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA

Touted as a riveting romantic-thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, has cinephiles buzzing with excitement, and for good reason. The collaboration between director Neeraj Pandey and actor Ajay Devgn not only promises quality entertainment but an enthralling cinematic experience as well. While Pandey has never disappointed with his compelling cinema, Ajay Devgn performances has always wowed the audiences. What’s more, the film also stars a bunch of other talented actors like Tabu, Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar. Spanning over 23 years, the film weaves a tale of love, separation, and yearning. At the trailer launch event of the film, Tabu said, “I should give credit to Neeraj for envisioning a love story with me and Ajay. Romance doesn’t belong to the young or a certain age group.” With stellar performances and a fresh take on relationships, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a must-watch. Block your dates for this one!   

INDIAN 2

A sequel to the 1996 blockbuster film of the same name, Indian 2 undoubtedly is a hotly-awaited film. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker S. Shankar, Indian 2 features the legendary actor Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption. Joining Kamal Haasan is a talented ensemble cast including Siddharth, Rakul Preet, S.J. Suryah among others. While much is not known about the plot, the film is centred around the problem of corruption in India. During the trailer launch event, Kamal Haasan humorously thanked Indian politics for giving fodder to the film. He said, “I thank Indian politics for giving us the fuel to make such films.” With Kamal Haasan, who is known for his exceptional performances, headlining the film, Indian 2 is definitely one to add to your must-watch list.   

BAD NEWZ

Starring: Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk

This movie may be titled Bad Newz, but the recently dropped trailer of the film screams — an entertaining laugh riot that will make you fall off your seats. Obviously, with the genius makers of the 2019 comedy-drama Good Newwz behind it, nothing less than a good dose of laughter is expected.  A star-studded comedy-drama Bad Newz promises to bring fresh energy and wild entertainment to the big screen. While details about the story line remain scarce, film’s producer Karan Johar hinted that it is a comedy inspired by true events. Sharing the teaser of the film on his social media, Karan wrote, “Get ready for the most entertaining hungama - a hilarious once in a billion situation awaits…a comedy inspired by true events.” Seriously, who wouldn’t want to experience this roller-coaster of madness and fall off their chair in laughter.

STREE 2

Starring: Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia

The return of Stree has been eagerly awaited since 2018, when the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer film left fans hanging with an intriguing cliffhanger. Now Stree is all set to strike fear again. Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 spine-chilling comedy drama Stree and is the fifth instalment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. While the makers are tight-lipped about the plot, the teaser of the film assures one thing – Stree 2 shall have more chills, more giggles, and more paranormal shenanigans. Directed by Amar Kaushik the film will have Rajkummar and Shraddha reprise their characters along with Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee. Speaking about the film, Abhishek Banerjee said in an interview, “I am absolutely thrilled for Stree 2. The anticipation for more fun and excitement is through the roof, I just can’t wait,” Well, Mr. Banerjeee, neither can we. The legendary Stree is back, and we can’t wait to meet her.

He passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he had been rushed on August 9 after he complained of chest pain and collapsed in the South Delhi gym where he was working out. Srivastav was at once moved to the Intensive Care Unit and put on a ventilator. Doctors had then said that he had suffered brain damage.
