'Rocky Handsome' A Commercially Safe Film: John Abraham

IANS, 29 Jan, 2016 12:39 PM
Actor-producer John Abraham, who will be seen performing some daring stunts in his upcoming film "Rocky Handsome", says it's a largely commercial venture as compared to his past productions.

"'Rocky Handsome' is commercially a very safe film. It's a far safer film to push the envelope from films like 'Madras Cafe' and 'Vicky Donor', which were very tough. I am concerned about what the audience wants... I will continue doing that," John told IANS.

He believes that he understands "audience taste".

"I want to put my knowledge and education to use and that's how I segment my audience," he added.

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, "Rocky Handsome" features John with Shruti Hassan.

He's happy to work with the director, with whom he last worked with in "Force".

"We wanted to do a film long ago. I am sure Nishikant is doing film with other actors, but I think we will run back to each other very soon again. We just work so well... we are on auto pilot! He doesn't have to brief me too much and he is a credible director.

"The actor is as good or bad as his director. And Nishikant is a fantastic director," John said.
