Bollywood couple Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh were in the Thai capital when an explosion close to Hindu Erawan Shrine here left at least 27 people dead and 78 others wounded. They confirmed they were safe.
Genelia was here to shoot an advertisement, and she was in a mall right opposite to the site where the blast took place on Monday.
"Bomb set off just opposite the mall we are currently in - can hear the sirens blazing all over - we are safe but feel terrible for the lives lost," Genelia, who turned 28 earlier this month, tweeted on Monday.
The "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na" actress on Tuesday shared that they are "fine" and thanked all her Twitter followers for showing "concern".
"Good morning... Thank you all for the concern... Just to inform you we are safe... #Thankgod4smallmercies," she wrote.
The explosion was on the Rajprasong intersection, which has been the centre of political demonstrations in recent years.
Genelia's actor-husband Riteish even shared a video in which several ambulances are seen on the road.
"Bangkok - right across the street," he captioned the video.
On Tuesday, Riteish posted: "My thoughts go out to the people affected by last night’s cowardly attack. Taking innocent lives is no way to protest or make a point. Thank you all for your prayers and concern. We all are fine."
