Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza have given the film a tribute in their own way by recreating the famous ‘Rahul Is A Cheater’ scene.

 
 
 

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai marked the directorial debut of Karan Johar and also starred Rani Mukerji in an important role. It released on October 16, 1998, and went on to become the highest grossing film of the year. In fact, it earned three times as much as the second biggest hit of the year, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, also starring Kajol.

 

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is also credited with changing the look and feel of Hindi films. It was probably the first time that the traditional Indian film viewers saw protagonists sporting designer clothes and talking in the youth’s language.
