  • Rishi Kapoor Enjoys Lunch With His Real 'Kapoor & Family'
There's still some time for the world of “Kapoor & Sons” to come alive on the silver screen, but Rishi Kapoor is already living an extension of it. The veteran star enjoyed a Sunday lunch with his family, including his mother and his uncle Shashi Kapoor, and described it as the real "Kapoor & Family".

“Reality. 'Kapoor & Family' at a never ending lunch this afternoon. Welcome back mom and good to see you Shashi uncle,” Rishi tweeted on Sunday.

Th cine icon, whose mother was in hospital last month, also shared an image with members of different generations of his Kapoor family, smiling away and posing for the camera.

“Kapoor & Sons”, releasing on March 18, tells the journey of members of a Kapoor family. Rishi plays the role of a nonagenarian in the Shakun Batra directorial, which brings Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra together. Other actors in the romantic drama, produced by filmmaker Karan Johar, are Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Rishi also shared that he is satisfied with the pace of his cinematic journey after living varied characters on the screen -- from a teenager to a nonagenarian.

He posted: “T'is been a satisfying journey till now. Not many had the opportunity of working as an adolescent to a 90er at 63 lol.”

He then went on to express his love for the craft, saying that “The only way to live for me is to entertain”.
