Richa Chadha Signs Aishwarya Rai's 'Sarabjit'

    Actress Richa Chadha, who is currently waiting for the release of her forthcoming film "Main Aur Charles", has signed a role for the film "Sarabjit", which is directed by "Mary Kom" famed director Omung Kumar.
     
    “Yes, they have approached me for a role and I will be doing it. However, at this point of time legalities and paper work is being done and I can't comment anything more," Richa said in a statement.
     
    The "Fukrey" actress will be seen essaying the role of actor Randeep Hooda's wife in the upcoming biopic, which is said to be based on the Indian who died in a Pakistani jail.
     
    "But yes, it's true I am offered the role to play Randeep's wife and I will sign on the dotted lines soon. Its an interesting role and cant wait to talk more on the same,” she added. 
     
    The film is based on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan, was sentenced to death. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013, and died a few days later.
     
    The film also features actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be seen playing the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur.
