Filmmaker Anurag Basu, whose latest movie "Jagga Jasoos" has not fared as expected, has sent out "hugs" to the detractors as he says rejection doesn't mean dejection for him.
"Thank you so much for your love and appreciation for 'Jagga Jassos'. It's like oxygen for me right now. Tight hugs... And for those who disliked it, hugs for them too, coz your rejection paves the way for my next and I promise I'll try not to disappoint you," Basu tweeted on Wednesday evening.
"Jagga Jasoos", presented in a musical format, banks on the emotional ups and downs of Jagga's and Shruti's life as they embark on a mission to hunt for Jagga's father. The film, which had been in the making for three years, features Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
In a recent interview to Mid-Day, Ranbir's father and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor lashed out at Basu for delaying the film, and called the director "irresponsible" with money and time.
