Ranbir Kapoor to endorse TAG Heuer

Darpan News Desk IANS, 15 Sep, 2014 09:41 AM
  • Ranbir Kapoor to endorse TAG Heuer
Bollywood hearthrob Ranbir Kapoor is the latest to join the list of sports and celebrity ambassadors of Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer, which is also endorsed by Hindi cinema's quintessential loverboy Shah Rukh Khan.

"In India, we are proud to have two of the best names in Bollywood sporting TAG Heuer and we see a great future with them in the coming years," TAG Heuer CEO Stephane Linder said in a statement.

Ranbir, who belongs to Bollywood's popular Kapoor family, has signed on for a "long-term partnership" with the brand. He says "TAG Heuer has always been one of my dreams".

"It started when I was really young, it was the first watch I wanted to own in my life. I remember my parents gifted it to me on my 13th birthday. So now, to be associated with the brand is really humbling for me. I really have to pinch myself to believe that I'm part of the TAG Heuer family," Ranbir said. He believes the brands stands for "prestige, precision, passion and performance".

"I think that is something we all and especially I can identify with; the way I look at my career, my life. I believe these are very important aspects for how one  should approach their life, their work and their relationships," added the star of films like "Rockstar", "Barfi!" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".

The brand has a renowned roster of international sports stars and celebrities that includes football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, tennis champion Maria Sharapova, actress Cameron Diaz, Formula One world champion Jenson Button, World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier and the entire crew of 2013 America's Cup winner Oracle Team USA.
