Darpan News Desk, 01 May, 2017 01:50 PM
  • Rana Daggubati, Aka Bhallaladeva Of Baahubali, Is Blind In One Eye
Rana shared his story, on a Telugu chat show where celebrities come and help people to deal with their life’s major problems by taking up their job for one day and giving back almost 10 times of what they earn. Rana’s admission on the show left the audience shocked.

In an interview, Rana went on to reveal that he cannot see from his right eye! Bhallaladeva admitted that he is completely blind from one eye.

In an interview with a Telugu channel Gemini TV, where celebrities give pep talks to people on how to deal with life’s big problems and also take up their job for one day and giving them 10 times the money that they earn, Daggubati made this admission, much to the dismay of the present audience.

“Should I tell you one thing, I am blind from my right eye. I see only from my left eye. The one you see is someone else’s eye which was donated to me after his death. If I close my left eye, I can see no one,” he said.

He even told the contestant that being blind should not act as a barrier for her or her children in living a happy life.

“LV Prasad operated me when I was young. Study well, we will support, be courageous as you have to look after her. Sorrows will go away one day but you have to gear up and keep them happy always,” he further said.

Rana, who has been acting for eight years now, received worldwide acclaim with the Baahubali franchise. The film, which raked in Rs 121 crore in its opening day collections in India business alone, has set new standards for cinema in the country.

SS Rajamouli-directed Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and Sathyaraj.
