Rajinikanth's '2.o' to be shot at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

IANS, 16 Mar, 2016 12:20 PM
Some important portions of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil actioner "2.o", a sequel to the blockbuster "Enthiran", will be shot at the popular Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here from Thursday.

"Some high-octane action sequences will be shot in this schedule, which will last for over a month. Some key portions will be shot at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the rest will be shot in and around the city," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

These action sequences will feature Rajinikanth and the film's antagonist Akshay Kumar, and will be shot at a section of the stadium, which is also hosting the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016.

"The team has erected massive and expensive sets to shoot this action portion," the source added.

Directed by Shankar, the film also stars Amy Jackson.

The project, which is being shot in 3D, is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

While double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is composing tunes, popular cinematographer Nirav Shah is cranking the camera.
