Puneet Vashist Hopes 'bigg Boss' Boosts His Bollywood Career

Darpan News Desk IANS, 04 Nov, 2015 12:27 PM
Actor Puneet Vashist, the second wild card entry of “Bigg Boss Nau", hopes the reality TV show will be his ticket to a successful career in Bollywood.

He said that superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will bid for him after he comes out of the 'Bigg Boss' house.

“My career in Bollywood will be changed - full on. After I come out of 'Bigg Boss' victoriously Salman bhai will be in my house asking me what to do next bro, Shah Rukh and Akshay Kumar will bid for me that they want -- Puneet Vashist,” Puneet told IANS over phone from Lonavla before entering the house.

Puneet, best remembered for acting in Shah Rukh-starrer “Josh”, will be entering the 'double trouble' ninth season -- hosted by “Dabangg” star Salman -- on Wednesday. The episode will go on air on Thursday on Colors channel.

Actor Rishabh Sinha was the first wild card entry.

Puneet, who has worked in both small as well as silver screen, asserted that he is confident about his acting skills, and hopes to win the season of the reality show, which has earned a notorious reputation for its controversies and constant brickbats.

He said: “It's going to be flood of votes on my entry not because I have had the advantage of telling people to vote for me but because I have just done collective work as an actor. People love me... it is just the industry, politics that I have not got work I deserved till now.

“I should not crib about it and god is great that I got this platform and I am going to come out victorious”.

Contestants who are still left include Mandana Karimi, Prince Narula, Suyyash Rai, Kishwar Merchant, Keith Sequira, Rochelle Rao, Aman Verma, Yuvika Chaudhary, Digangana Suryavanshi and Rimi Sen.

And Puneet, who featured in TV serials like “Shastri Sisters” and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada”, has a message for all the inmates - “All the chickens are now going to face the tiger”.

“They all will maintain distance from me,” he said.

His strategy is to show the real side of Puneet to the world.

“Just be myself is my strategy. I am full of dance. I am a musician, performer, entertainer and all this has been showed to the world in bits and pieces in different characters but now people will get to see Puneet for the first time,” he said.

An Indian version of the international series "Celebrity Big Brother", the show is also famous for testing contestants emotionally, physically and emotionally. But Puneet is not bothered.

The actor, who has movie “Life Biryani” in pipeline, shared that he is waiting to be “physically and mentally challenged”.
