Professional, Yet Amazing: Sooraj Pancholi On Working With Dad In 'Hero'

  • Professional, Yet Amazing: Sooraj Pancholi On Working With Dad In 'Hero'
Sooraj Pancholi is not only foraying into Bollywood with "Hero", but also sharing screen space with his father and actor Aditya in the film. The emerging star was nervous before shooting with his father, but says the experience was professional, yet amazing.

"I got to know that my father is a part of the film just two days before shooting. I thought I’m stuck because at home I'm really quiet, not because I'm scared of him but because I respect him. We don’t talk a lot and I thought that now I will have to say the dialogues in front of him.

“But on the sets, I never felt that he was my father as he played his role so well and he is so professional. It was amazing to work with him,” Sooraj said at a press conference here on Saturday.

Though not much is known about Aditya’s role in the film, it has been reported that he will be seen as a notorious minister in it.

The film is backed by superstar Salman Khan, who is co-producing the film under his banner Salman Khan Films, and also marks debut of actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya. Sooraj was accompanied by both of them at the promotional visit to the Millennium City.

Salman is not only producing the film, but has even crooned for the title track of the movie, which is a remake of Subhash Ghai-directed 1983 film of the same name.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, "Hero" will release on September 11.

Sooraj terms the film as “a dream launch”.

“I couldn't have thought of a better script than ‘Hero', better director than Nikhil sir, better producer than Salman sir and better co-star than Athiya,” he said.

The remake has been under the watchful eye of Salman, who is said to have been involved with the film's editing as well. Sooraj says “Salman sir never preached anything or visited the sets to see how we were performing”.

“But he knew what was going on with the film. He has been an amazing mentor and biggest support in our life,” said Sooraj.
